NIM conference to empower women with technology

The Nigerian Institute of Management has said it is set to host the Women in Management and Leadership Conference, aimed at empowering women through technology to advance their careers.

The NIM conference with the theme, ‘Digital Transformation and Women Leadership’, is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, July 23, and Thursday, July 2024, in Lagos.

According to a statement by the Registrar/Chief Executive of the Institute, Mrs Taiwo Olusesi, the conference, which started 23 years ago has become an important platform for women leaders in both the private and public sectors of the nation’s economy.

“It is a platform that usually brings women together to brainstorm on and proffer solutions to issues that directly affect them at the workplace, the economy, and the home front,” Olusesi said.

Olusesi stated that the conference will emphasise action-based learning and interactive sessions.

She mentioned that the conference sub-themes would cover leveraging technology for women’s career growth, leadership in the c-suite for gender parity, innovative solutions for women’s empowerment, and health strategies for women leaders.

The statement further revealed that the conference will be headlined by presentations by women who have distinguished themselves in different works of life sharing their experiences with participants on how they were able to break the glass ceiling to get to the top.
