1. ABOUT CODE FEST ?
It is a Hackathon event that brings together computer programmers like software developers, graphic designers and user interface specialists along with industry process experts and professionals to identify issues and create software solutions as a challenge within 24 hours.

2. WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Software developers – Others are GIS Specialists, CEOs, Investors, Policy Makers, and everyone that desires to make money or living in the technology industry. Come with your industry experience and the problems you want to solve.
Tech Developers We need tech ninjas, makers, game programmers, and rebels that code. Come to hack with new hardware and tech all in the name of doing something crazy and fantasticand helpful.
UI/UX Designers We need people like you to make everything look beautiful, work intuitively, and create a stellar user experience. Great applications require great design.

3. WHAT DO I BRING?
This is a very hands-on and grassroots event. Bring your laptops, mobile phones, to whatever inspires you but above all, your energy and your brain! Dont worry if you forget something, there will be tons of stuff to do.

4. WHAT IS THE GOAL OF CODE FEST?
To challenge the students of our tertiary institution to innovation and technology
To develop new software application for market readiness
To crowdsource talent for recruiting into companies and facilitate the participating teams to start a start-up company

5. HOW DO I FORM OR JOIN A TEAM AND WHY?
We hope teams at the hackathon will form around problems expressed by organisers or the provided hack categories. We do encourage participants to start forming teams before the event or we can help you.

6. ARE THERE PRIZES FOR THE HACK CATEGORIES?
We are able to provide cash and software prizes thanks to our sponsors!

7. WHO OWNS MY PROJECT & IP?
Every team signs an exclusivity agreement with the organizers/host on the ownership.

8. HOW CAN I HAVE A CODE FEST IN MY LOCAL AREA?
If you want to organize a CODE FEST in your area or have one at your existing event, contact us and we will let you know how to make it happen.

9. IS THERE REIMBURSEMENT FOR TRAVEL?
No, we do not offer any reimbursement for travel expenses.

10. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND CODE FEST?
Admission to CODE FEST is completely free. Unfortunately we cannot reimburse travel costs for this event.

11. I DON’T KNOW HOW TO CODE! CAN I STILL ATTEND?
No, except our invited guests.

12. WHAT IS AN EXAMPLE OF A PROJECT THAT MY TEAM MAY DEVELOP?
We hope students will use their own creativity in figuring out the best ways to present the research that conduct during the Hackathon. It might even changed depending on the course of the research! You can never know where it will take you.

13. WHAT IS THE THEME OF CODE FEST?
The theme is CONNECT, INNOVATE, ENTERPRISE

14. WHAT WILL I EAT?
We will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Friday plus breakfast on Saturday . There will also be snacks and coffee.

15. WHERE WILL I SLEEP?
Hacking all night can be fun, but unfortunately the venue does not allow for hackers to sleepover.

16. HOW DO TEAMS WORK?
Teams are at mostHAVE 4 people and can be firmed before or at the event.

17. WHAT IF I DO NOT HAVE A TEAM?
Don’t worry! We’ll have a team formatio youn workshop at the beginning of the event.

18. WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA?
You must to be an undergraduate of any tertiary institution in or member of NYSC to attend.
