AFWL presents an exclusive catwalk show inspired by Grace Jones’ unimitable style
 Africa Fashion Week London is proud to take part in the iconic Grace Jones’ Meltdown Festival – hosting an exclusive programme of DJs and catwalk shows.   We honour Grace Jones’ iconic looks with a day of high-end fashion, curated in partnership with Southbank Centre and Creative Resilience International free for the public. The designers on the free AFWL catwalk are:  
  
Adebayo Jones The exquisite couture of Adebayo Jones will be showcased on the exclusive catwalk.  See the glamourous tailoring up close and personal with this ledgenday designer.


 Elfreda Dali Conceptually themed luxury is the modus operandi of the Elfreda Dali brand.  Inspired by the crosspollination between British and Nigerian culture, Elfeda Dali celebrates opposing perspectives towards masculinity and femininity.
 
Kalika’s Armour Kalikas Armour is a luxurious British fashion label specialising in high quality conceptual design and bespoke, made to measure pieces with a unique aesthetic. 



  
Mary Martin London Africa Fashion Week London’s firm favourite, Mary Martin is exclusively showing elements of her new collection in homage to Ms Jones dramatic flair
 

Sista by Eyoro Straight from Nigeria, Sista by Eyoro will be showcasing her collection in collaboration with the Adire Ooudua Textile Hub and the latest wax resist patterns to come out of Nigeria. Soboye AFWL’s Head Stylist, Samson Soboye will bring the drama of his Studio 54 inspired collection, Lagos 54 to the catwalk – bringing to mind Ms Jones’ iconic performace at the ledgendary NY nightclub. 
 In our continued our support for fashion and textile students entering their industries, we are devoting a section of the catwalk presentation to graduate designers from the University of Northampton, University of West London and Central St Martins.
