Wilfred Ndidi has been named as the 10th most valuable defensive midfielder in the world according to Transfermarkt.
The 23-year-old has been the EPL’s best tackler for the last two seasons, beating Everton and Senegal star Idrissa Gueye to the record on both occasions.
Manchester City’s summer signing Rodri is ranked the most valuable defensive midfielder with a value of around €80m. He joined the Citizens in August 2019 from Spanish League side Atletico Madrid for €70m and has scored two goals and one assist this term.
Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich shares the same value (€80m) with Rodri but sits second on the chart of the most valuable defensive midfielders in the world.
Liverpool’s Fabinho, Real Madrid’s Casemiro and Chelsea superstar Jorginho complete the top five best midfielders in the world.
Marcelo Brozovic (Inter Milan), Declan Rice (West Ham United) Rueben Neves (Wolverhampton Wanderers) Thomas Partey (Atletico Madrid) and Ndidi completes the top 10.
