West Africa’s foremost Carrier and Cloud neutral data centre, Rack Centre, has wrapped up its impactful digital skills training programme, equipping 150 youths and Small and Medium Enterprises with valuable knowledge and tools.
Rack Centre, the top data centre in West Africa, has successfully concluded its digital skills training program. This initiative has empowered 150 young individuals and small businesses with the necessary skills to excel in the rapidly changing digital economy.
Participants in the program received valuable hands-on training and guidance from industry experts. They also had the chance to learn through a unique curriculum and collaborative learning experiences.
During the graduation ceremony in Lagos, Ms. Nozipho Sibanda, the Finance Director of Rack Centre, expressed her admiration for the graduates. She recognized the challenges they faced during their training and commended their determination to acquire new skills and knowledge. She emphasized that this opportunity will have a significant impact on their professional growth and personal development.
Sibanda stated that the CSR initiative focused on aiding small businesses in acquiring the essential skills and knowledge to move forward. She restated the company’s pledge to provide increased support to the training recipients moving forward, mentioning that the training has offered a competitive advantage to both SMEs and individuals in handling their businesses or obtaining job opportunities.

Dr. Mojisola Olateru-Olagbegi, the Chief Executive Officer of The Workplace Centre Limited (TWPC) Tech, highlighted the crucial role SMEs play in driving the economy. She commended Rack Centre for their initiative in empowering the youth with essential skills and knowledge to promote self-reliance. Dr. Olateru-Olagbegi underscored the importance of technology in fostering business growth and advancing careers in the current economic landscape.
In addition, Deola Durodola, the Chief Executive Officer of United Way Greater Nigeria, disclosed that the training initiative focused on various digital proficiencies. These proficiencies included Graphic design, Digital Marketing, Front-end Web Development, Networking and Security, and Soft skills. Durodola emphasized that the aim of these proficiencies was not solely to strengthen the abilities of individuals or SMEs, but also to generate a positive impact on the economy.
Adenopo Folashade, a recipient of the program, expressed gratitude towards Rack Centre for the training opportunities, vowing to apply the skills to improve the economic well-being of herself and her family.
